Thanks – that means a lot to hear. As for your question, here are a couple of tactics that help:
1. Remember that the readers do not know the importance of a review. So, impress that upon them.
2. Humanize yourself – let them know it will let you down and your art and craft – be tactful and legit, but ensure you remember to humanize yourself. That way if the review would be bad, they’ll lighten the blow because they know you’re a human with feelings
3. Create a link in the email that points directly to the review page of that book. Make it as easy as possible for them.

Great article! I’m starting out and recently published my first book last week and already have about 200 subscribers through my reader magnet in the back of my book.I only have 12 reviews and wondering if you had any articles, strategies or templates to send an email to subscribers who I know have read the book. Thanks!

One book launch ninja tactic from Vincent Pugliese:
Send ARC and request the review to send to you via email.
When you launch the book, you send the very same reviews to your reviewers so all they need to do is copy and paste it on Amazon.Vincent had something like 200 reviews in the first week of his book`s life.

Hi Ideas --- I recently did a launch and of those who used gift cards/certificates, all of them were refused because they did not use a credit or debit card to pay for $50 worth of merchandise.Several had spent $hundreds in the year but still could not post a review because gift cards do not count towards the $50. That is what i understand firsthand. So many loopholes.
